Catering Menu

Let us cater your next event. Our mouth watering fruit platters, work of art sandwiches and tempting cookie trays are just a sample of what we have to offer.

Food to Go

Perfect for that busy schedule, whether you pick it up, or have it delivered, our fine selection of delicious foods are aimed to please.

Express Yourself Bistro started with a dream... a dream of empowering women, and teaching them self-sufficiency through on-the-job training.

Safe Havens for Little People was established when Karen Justice-Guard dreamed of making a difference in the lives of battered women and their children.

One day this dream met with opportunity when founder, Karen Justice-Guard, happened upon Gene Martinez of Varian Corporation. When Gene came to understand the goals of Safe Havens for Little People, and learned of Karen's experience in establishing restaurants, an idea came to his mind, that eventually became reality. Gene gave Karen Justice-Guard the opportunity to take over the corporate cafeteria at Varian Corporation in Walnut Creek.

In addition to being a source of funds, it is also a  facility for battered women and women on welfare to get job training and job placement. And the outside catering is the gift on top of it all...so when you order these delicious lunches from Express Yourself Bistro, you are supporting Safe Havens for Little People, the battered women and women on welfare who benefit from the training that we provide, and the community at large that benefits from these women becoming self-sufficient.
